Bunny Slippers

When my Grandpa Bunny passed away a few years ago, one of the possessions that I "inherited" was his pair of super comfy Ugg slippers. I wear them all the time and Jon and I have come to refer to them, natually, as "Grandpa Bunny Slippers".

Last week, my mom brought Rosalie a present--a pair of booties in the likeness of rabbits. She reminded me that when Amy and I went to Houston as little girls Grandpa Bunny would always take us shoe shopping; so she thought it was fitting to get these slippers for Rosalie.

Even though they won't stay on her feet at the moment, I like to think of Rosie and I stomping around the house in our respective bunny slippers.

Check out my cradle!

Many thanks to my friend and co-worker Naomi Kellar who lent us this cradle.  It was originally built by Naomi's father in 1956 and has been used by nearly two dozen family members and friends.  As you can see, the names of each baby who has slept in the cradle has been inscribed on the back.

Rosalie Makes a Friend

Rosalie had her first playdate today. Our friends Will and Ayyana came by with their son, Raiden. Raiden has about 6 months and 14 lbs on our girl. Despite these differences, the two seemed to get along just fine. In reality, Rosie had no idea what was going on, but the adults enjoyed it.

We also introduced Rosie to Skype and had a mini-Princeton reunion at the same time. In the photo are Tim and Lauren Pavlis; Will, Ayyana and Raiden; and Chris and Jen Laporte (on the laptop screen beaming in all the way from London). We missed you Josh, Matt, Lankford, Len and Brendan!
