Thanksgiving 2010 was as usual held in Camp Columbus. This year's attendees included Marcee, Rosie, Ned, Stephen & Peggy with a guest appearance by cousing David. In addition to a fantastic feast prepared by long time friends at Cornucopia (and with some help from Peggy), highlights of our trip were as follows: Thanksgiving photos coming soon!
This shot was taken when Rosalie was supposed to be napping, but instead was running around the apartment completely blinded by the blanket. As you can imagine, this didn't end well. 
Six hours later, there still was no napping, but there was football. And, a bottle. And, the blanket. And, daddy.

Rosalie looks really pensive in this shot, but I think this was right about the time she got antsy and wanted out of the high chair.
How's it look?
After a hot summer full of absolute refusal to wear anything on her head or face, Rosalie decided earlier this week that sunglasses are fun. Not very practical, but still stylish. 
Here is Rosalie modeling the new t-shirt that Grandma Judy purchased. On the front, there is a kitty saying, "Hi". On the back, the kitty says, "Bye." I swear that The Gap somehow tapped into Rosalie's brain and produced the shirt based on her deepest thoughts and dreams. If only the kitty were blowing kisses....
Grandpa Jon paid us a visit this weekend and, among other activities, graciously read the animal book with Rosalie about 10 times each day.
The temp is falling out here. It was 36 degrees when I headed out for my run this morning. The upside? Cute Rosie accessories! 
Jon and I were totally into it.
Rosalie was a little perplexed, but still had some laughs. 
A very Brooklyn day.
All three of us were in awe of the two bears we saw playing/dancing/fighting.
We spent about 90 minutes in the kids area. The low point of the day was when I took Rosalie down a slide that was a little too advanced. As you can see, she was screaming by the time we got to the end. I wish I had the camera to take a photo of all the horrified parents sitting at the bottom of the slide. It took many minutes and a few handfuls of cheerios to calm her down.
She had much more fun pretending to be a prairie dog with Jon.
We ended our time at the petting zoo, where Rosalie tried (as always) to jump into the cages of goats, alpacas, donkeys, turkeys, pigs, and sheep. 
Our nanny, Karlene, bought Rosalie her very own purse on Thursday. I don't think she has put it down since. You'll also note Jon's blackberry in her other hand. She must be texting all her friends to set up a play date.
Benjamin--Your cousin Rosalie is blowing kisses and saying "ruff, ruff, ruff" to you on the occasion of your first birthday. XOXO!
For those of you keeping track, she's in the same percentile for weight as she was at her one year check-up, but hasn't keep pace with height. I guess that's not too surprising given the genes she is carrying.
As evidenced by the pics above, we're pretty certain that our little girl ranks in the 100th percentile in curiosity and mischievousness.
