Photosanity

A mom that I met in the neighborhood teaches an online photography workshop for parents, called Photosanity. It's focused on helping parents take, edit, store and display photos better without taking up too much time.

One of the projects for the workshop is to take a photo a day for 12 weeks. I thought it would be a pain to take a photo each day (especially on workdays when getting out of the house feels like enough of an assignment), but Jon and I have really enjoyed capturing these everyday moments that don't usually feel "camera worthy". All of the photos are stored on a great website called shuttercal.com and can easily be turned in albums.

This Year in Minnesota

My extended family gathered in Minnesota for a long weekend in April to celebrate passover. Despite the fact that it snowed TWICE during our visit, we all had a fun (and rowdy) time.

Rosalie is now obsessed with her counsins Jenna and Melanie. Whenver she sees a little girl on the street, she will scream out, "Jenna!" or, "Menie!" It's very fun to see them all playing together like Amy, Jeremy, Tracy and I used to do. I am hopeful that as they get older, they will become close (and that Benjamin and Rosie will actually notice each other's existance at some point.)

Big time thanks to my parents for all the prep and hosting work they did.

Gammy Peggy's Visit: April 2011

Thanks for a great visit. Highlights of Gammy Peggy's April 2011 visit included a trip to the Bronx Zoo, dinner at No.7, a Royal Wedding, theater trip to see Black Watch, brunch with long lost cousin Catie Lazarus, the Brooklyn Flea, Rosie's first ever use of an iPad, several trips to the backyard & the park and mostly lots of quality bonding time for Rosie & Gammy Peggy.
