Happy 4th of July: Bexley Edition
Normally we spend the 4th of July in Minneapolis. But as we are spending most of the summer there, we decided to spend the holiday in Columbus with my family instead. Bexley has a long tradition of showing its civic pride in a big way on the 4th. Below are some pics from the parade and the fireworks. My mom's neighbors also had a bouncy castle which was an extra special treat. Despite the fact that the weather was largely gloomy with sporadic showers and overcast skies, we had a great day.
The Championships @ Wimbledon
About 35 years ago, my grandfather Charles Lazarus went to Wimbledon and brought back robes for all the grand kids. Below is a pic from a few years ago just after Sam was born when Rosie was wearing mine and Sam was wearing Uncle Ned's. Rosie is now wearing Uncle Matty's and Sam is wearing mine. I think he'd be tickled to see that these treasured gifts from the Championships @ Wimbledon are still being put to good use.
