Rosie & Daddy @ The Horseshoe

Sadly Stevie G and Uncle Neddy we're not able to join me for the OSU vs Penn State game that was dubbed "Dark Night  at The Shoe". The Bucks wore all black jerseys, pants and helmets for the first time ever. So I decided to throw caution to the wind and take Rosie as my date for a game that kicked off at 8:00pm with temperatures dipping into the 30's. But the experience was a success on all fronts. Bucks won 38-10 but of equal importance Rosie & I had an amazing daddy-daughter experience at perhaps my favorite place on earth. She particularly loved the popcorn, seeing herself on the jumbotron (yes, she's that cute that the cameras found her), watching the the best damn band in the land perform at half time, and bouncing around to the various game day sights and sounds of the stadium while curled up under a blanket in my lap. My only regret is that we weren't able to make it over to visit grandaddy's brick who is located on the opposite side of the stadium. But I suspect and he understands and was tickled pink that his great grand daughter was enjoying her first game. Below are some pics from our visit the The Shoe. And yes, that's Rosie with Craig Krenzel the QB that guided the Bucks to the nat'l championship back in 2002. Oh, and as for the sign we're holding, well let's just say I decided to go with the beg for forgiveness vs ask for permission approach in terms of consulting Marcee on the decision to take Rosie. Pretty special evening all around and not one either of us will soon forget.
