Sam's First Thanksgiving

Sam's first thanksgiving in Camp Columbus was a smashing success.  Special thanks to Gammy Peggy for hosting.  Highlights of our time in O-H-I-O included...

1) The 4th annual Rosie-palooze and 1st ever Sam-a-lot

2) Lots and lots of quality time w/Gammy Peggy and Stevie G

3) Perfect fall weather at the annual Turkey Bowl

4) Eating, sleeping, eating, sleeping, followed by more eating

5) Ned & I saw OSU cap a perfect 12-0 football season by beating "That Team up North"

More Friday Fun

My Fridays at home with the two little ones can either be wonderfully fun with playground trips and play dates, or a total disaster with no naps and all of us screaming and crying by 4pm. Luckily, today was a good day.

One highlight was that Rosie got to play with her friend, "Other Rosie". Here they are playing a game that I can only imagine is called, "Ballerina".

And, Rosie helped me put together Sam's Jumperoo. He seems equally excited and bewildered.

October 2012 Visit to Camp Columbus

Rosie & I had a great trip back to Camp Columbus.  In addition to a big win by OSU over Nebraska, you can see that we had much in the way of fall fun with family.

We recently discovered that Rosalie has memorized the words to many of her favorite books. Here is a video of Jon and Rosie reading Curious George.

Towards the end, Rosie spills some milk on her leg and says, "Oh, man!", which isn't part of the story.

First Day of School

We all went to school this morning to meet Rosalie's teachers and classmates. It was great fun and we are looking forward to dropping her off for her first "real" day on Monday.

Creative Parenting

This was my solution when Sam wouldn't sit in his stroller during my haircut. The hat was to prevent hair clippings from getting in his face. I'm sure it will surprise no one that this ended in tears very quickly.

A Month at the Beach

We had an absolutely wonderful month living on the North Fork of Long Island. We got to revel in all that summer in the country/burbs have to offer--the beach, berry picking, eating produce from local farm stands, and more. Rosie and Sam are likely too young to remember this when they get older, but it's a time that Jon and I will definitely never forget.

We were too busy to take pictures most of the time, but here are some to give you a taste of what we did.

...must come to and end. Sadly today was the last day of our summer rental on the North Fork of Long Island. It was a fantastic four weeks. We'll publish more pics and highlights of the trip soon.
