Rosalie's 2nd B-Day Weekend Extravaganza

We had such a fun weekend celebrating your birthday with friends & family from near and far. While it's hard to narrow down the entire weekend down into only a few highlights, here are a few moments that stood out.

1) The toddler pool. Thanks Amy for the lovely present and Bronwyn for insisting that we put it together immediately. The b-day party would not have been the same without it.

2) The birthday girl's dress. Gammy Peggy, well done. Rosalie's dress was SUPER CUTE and just right for a two year old's party. It also had a nice connection to the past in that it was from the same woman who made an outfit for me when I was Rosie's age.

3) The theater. On Friday nights, the grown ups hit up Broadway to see some Tony Award winning shows. Peggy & Ned saw the Book of Mormon while Judy, Jon, Amy, Marcee & Jon saw Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter) and John Laroquette (Dan from Night Court:) in How to Succeed in Business.

4) The bike ride. For father's day, Marcee got me a bike seat. For Rosie's b-day, she got her a helmet. The look on Rosie's face and the sound of her voice when I took my first pedal was priceless.

5) The High Line. On Sunday morning, we took Rosie into Manhattan for some high brow park action. Rosie had a great time playing in this urban park that was once an elevated subway line.

6) The playgound and her bubbles. The little park across the street just turned on the water for their kids' fountains and Rosie could not have been more entertained by the water and her bubbles. Jon to Rosie, "Can Dada help your blow bubbles?" Rosie to Jon, "No!!! RoRo do it. RoRo do it!" And she did:)
