The photos and video of Rosie's pre-school graduation party got lost in the archives! Better late than never, I guess.
Pre-school ended with a very simple and sweet party in Prospect Park. The kids decorated, sang two songs (Yellow Submarine, above, and Somewhere Over the Rainbow), and the parents brought snacks.
I found myself more emotional about the end of pre-school than I had anticipated. I even shed some tears when saying good-bye to Rosie's teachers. We found Parker's Place about two weeks before the school year started and it turned out to be such a warm, welcoming and nurturing community for Rosie and for the rest of us. Many of her friends will be entering PS 10 together in the fall, so we won't totally be closing this chapter. And, in two years, Mr Sam will be ready to storm through their doors.
